How I helped support a knee injury with joint supplements

I'd never had a knee injury before. At the beginning of December I injured the meniscus (cartilage) in my left knee, and found out the value of taking more care. Goodbye squats, goodbye deadlifts.

An appointment with a great Physiotherapist pinpointed it, and got onto it. I was thankful for that (if you need a very good Physio, let me know).

Along with the physio sessions I used supplementation to help out. Pure Marine Collagen Peptides was first on the list. Collagen supplementation is the most direct way to support cartilage nutritionally – providing amino acid building blocks used to construct it.

To help with reducing the inflammation, and improving mobility, I increased the Turmeric Curcumin Matrix I was already taking each day. In the evening I also take Magnesium Restore Zen. Magnesium is a great supplement to help fight inflammation in the body. During the day, 3 separate serves of Vitamin C Protect has been going into my smoothies. Vitamin C is important help for fighting inflammation, and also to support getting the most out of Collagen supplementation. I also increased the amount of Fish Oil capsules I always take.

It's been about 7 weeks and feeling about 90% right – so it wasn't major. It can take a lot longer, depending on the severity and position of injury.

The 2019 take home lesson? Definitely look after my joints more. It hasn't been an area that I've been paying attention to. Until now.

If I can help you with anything just let me know.
