A question I often get asked, one you may have asked me yourself is, Mike, can I really improve my body, and for the long term?.
Whether this is about burning flab, or adding lean muscle my answer will always be the same... YOU CAN.
You betcha. I totally believe it. One Hundred Percent.
From seeing all sorts transform I know it's DEFINITELY within reach to improve your physique. It's worth remembering it'll never be dependent on a single magic pill, way of eating, or training style. If you can excuse the pun there’s always more than one way to skin a cat.
There are plenty of approaches around that work, so forget about analysing and comparing every method under the sun to find that holy grail of plans. Just pick something that fits your circumstances - and make sure it REALLY worked for someone else - a real person ie someone you can talk to personally, not a cardboard cut out from a magazine ad.
Then stick at it.
And this is where we get to THE all important point. To stick at something new means you are going to have to change your habits.
Ooooooooooo, terrifying isn't it.
Our habitual choices either take us towards or away from our goals. So if at some point in the future you want to look buffer than you do today, then you're going to need to make a change to your existing habits surrounding both food and exercise.
Unfortunately there are no ifs or buts about it - and no fancy gimmicks to make it easy either.
The way you've thought about food and drink all these years, what you've put in your gob, AND the amount of physical activity in your life are responsible for the way you look right now. Sure genetics, stress, and previous injuries do play a part - but the reality is these factors, and some extreme cases of these, are overcome by people committed to the right habits.
The difference between achieving success or failure is dependent on the type of habits you lock into your lifestyle.
Can you change your body? YOU CAN! Can you change your habits? Well... That's up to you.
